Who We Are
We are Catholic women who are committed to living out our faith through service, fellowship and advocacy. We come from diverse backgrounds and walks of life united by a common desire to deepen our spiritual lives, support our church and make a positive impact in our communities
We are affiliates of the Central Deanery Council of Catholic Women, the Palm Beach Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, and the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW), a national organization with more than 8,000 affiliations representing 8 million Catholic women.

acts through its members to support, empower, and educate
all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service.

The President provides vision and leadership, ensuring our Council's activities reflect our mission and values.

The Vice President assists the president and coordinates special projects, always ready with encouragement and fresh ideas.
Treasurer
Maria Schaeffer
The Treasurer oversees the financial stewardship of the Council, ensuring resources are managed faithfully and responsibly.
Recording Secretary
Antoinette Giannone
The Secretary keeps our records and minutes, making sure the history of our work is preserved and accessible.
Parliamentarian
Jean McKeen
The Parliamentarian ensures that our meetings run fairly, efficiently and in accordance with our established rules of order.
St. Therese de Lisieux CCW commissions are the four main areas of service and ministry. Together, they guide us in living our faith, strengthening our community,
and serving others with the heart of Christ.

Spirituality

Focuses on the spiritual growth of members.

Encourages prayer, retreats, reflection, and ongoing faith formation.

Promotes Catholic teaching and devotion (e.g., rosaries, Bible studies, days of reflection).

Helps women deepen their relationship with Christ and live out the Church’s mission.
Leadership

Equips members with the skills to be leaders in the Church and community.

Provides resources on organization, effective meeting practices, recruitment, and mentoring.

Encourages members to step into parish, diocesan, and community leadership roles.

Promotes service in unity with the clergy and other parish ministries.

Supports programs like Respect Life, domestic violence awareness, helping the poor and underserved, care for the elderly and our armed forces, and parish outreach.

Legislative

Informs members on key issues – keeps the council updated on public policy matters that impact life, family, faith, and social justice.

Monitors legislative developments – tracks local, state, and federal legislation affecting moral, social, and humanitarian concerns.

Encourages advocacy – motivates members to use their voices through letter-writing, petitions, and respectful dialogue with elected officials.

St.Therese de Liseux CCW supports our parish and organizations whose mission aligns with our own to serve communities in need, uplift families, and share God’s love in meaningful ways. Below are some of these organizations:
Pregnancy centers offering compassionate care for life, born & unborn.
Resource center for homeless women and men in Palm Beach County.
The parish provides faith formation, youth ministry & community programs.
Dedicated to the shelter and mentorship of homeless, pregnant or parenting young women and their children.
Dedicated to helping those less fortunate so they can get back on their feet and live productive & joyful lives.
